Our Beliefs

We believe that love is God’s defining quality.

We believe that Jesus is our Savior, the Son of God, and the fullest expression of God’s love.  Our faith in him leads us to walk in his way and live out his teachings.

We believe Scripture is central to our faith.  It shapes our understanding, guides our conversations, and encourages us as we seek life and truth in the way of Jesus.

We affirm our core values: loving deeply, walking humbly, and living justly.

We believe in communion with God through prayer and worship, and that each person is called to learn and grow in faith.

We believe in gathering as a community so we may learn from one another and grow together.

We believe ministers are partners in faith.  We learn from them, but they do not hold authority over the conscience of individual believers.  Each person is free to grow and respond to God in faith.

We value diversity of opinion and practice, and we welcome people from all walks of life.

We believe that each person has a calling from God, and that calling is revealed through serving others and living out our values.

We practice believer baptism and weekly communion.

We hold to hope for God’s full reign and the renewal of all creation.
